The hospital is expected to create about 100 new healthcare-related jobs.<\/p>\n<p>ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Avondale will be a 30-bed facility located at 109<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and West McDowell Road in Avondale, Az. It will provide specialized rehabilitative care to individuals living with disabling injuries or illnesses such as strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson\u2019s disease, multiple sclerosis, or other debilitating conditions such as COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>The planned 43,000-square-foot medical facility will feature private rooms, a rehabilitative gym, dining room, and an activity of daily living space. Groundbreaking for the facility is planned for May, with the opening planned for Summer 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to have ClearSky Health join our Avondale business community,\u201d says Avondale Economic Development Director Ken Chapa. \u201cTheir facility, which chose to locate within our nationally recognized healthcare corridor, will provide top tier, post-acute care for patients throughout the valley. We are honored that they have chosen Avondale as their first location in Arizona.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAvondale\u2019s Economic Development team was essential in the location selection,\u201d says Darby Brockette, CEO of ClearSky Health. \u201cWith their support and the guidance of community and medical leadership, we learned of the area\u2019s unmet need for inpatient rehabilitative services. We feel with our proven expertise and knowledge, we can make a positive impact on the community by providing services that individuals would otherwise have to leave the area to receive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Avondale is expected to treat about 650 patients annually. Physician-led rehabilitative services will include physical, occupational, and speech therapy; rehabilitative nursing; case management; respiratory therapy, dietary services, and other specialized care.<\/p>\n<p>ClearSky Health is a premier rehabilitative healthcare provider that collaborates with healthcare facilities to improve, expand, or introduce rehabilitative services to communities served.
