ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Baytown Accredited by The Joint Commission

ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Baytown recently was accredited by The Joint Commission, earning the organization’s Gold Seal of Approval® by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a healthcare organization’s commitment to providing safe, quality patient care.

To earn the accreditation, ClearSky Baytown underwent a rigorous onsite review by a team of Joint Commission surveyors who evaluated compliance with ClearSky Baytown’s standards related to several areas. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.

ClearSky Baytown is a 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospital that provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, or medically complex conditions. It opened in April of this year.

“ClearSky Baytown’s accreditation reflects our commitment to providing safe, effective, quality care to our community,” says Ed Hardy, CEO of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Baytown. “We’re committed to providing our patients with superior, specialized care to help them regain independence, maximize their recoveries, and return to the activities that they enjoy.”

The Joint Commission’s hospital standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. Standards are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help hospitals measure, assess, and improve performance.
