Neighbors has been named Director of Marketing and Business Development of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Eau Claire. The 30-bed medical rehabilitation hospital, located in Eau Claire, Texas, is scheduled to open in Summer 2023. It will treat patients with disabling injuries or illnesses such as strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson\u2019s disease, multiple sclerosis, or other medically-complex conditions such as COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>A licensed practical nurse and military veteran, Neighbors has more than 15 years of healthcare experience in critical care, medical surgery, psychiatry, skilled nursing, and marketing. He most recently served as a clinical liaison for inpatient rehabilitation hospitals throughout Texas and has held nursing and leadership positions at various Army medical centers.<\/p>\n<p>In his role at ClearSky Eau Claire, Neighbors will be responsible for the hospital\u2019s admissions department and will coordinate activities to educate patients, families, community, and referral sources about hospital services.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMy nursing experience allows me to understand healthcare operations from both the clinical and patient perspective,\u201d Neighbors says. \u201cI can use that knowledge to better educate our referral sources, patients, and the community. I think it\u2019s especially important that patients understand that they have to the right to choose where they want to receive rehabilitative care.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Neighbors earned a licensed practical nursing (LPN) degree from Walter Reed National Medical Center.
