The ranking was determined by Netsmart\u2019s program evaluation model (PEM), a case-mix and severity-adjusted tool that generates a composite performance score and percentile ranking from data covering more than 80 percent of inpatient rehabilitation facilities across the nation. The rankings reflect discharges between October 2023 and September 2024.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis achievement is a testament to our team\u2019s dedication to providing outstanding care to the communities we serve,\u201d says Tracie Watkins, CEO of ClearSky Flower Mound. \u201cOur staff works relentlessly to deliver high-quality, specialized rehabilitative care to maximize our patients\u2019 recoveries so they can return to their homes and the activities they enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Watkins notes that a national study by ARA Research Institute has shown that inpatient rehabilitation facilities offer better long-term outcomes for patients compared to other rehabilitation programs. \u201cSo being ranked in the top of that group of inpatient rehabilitation facilities further validates the quality of care we provide, leading to improved quality of life for our patients. The original PEM Report Card, developed by Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR), was created in response to a 2006 recommendation to Congress by the Institute of Medicine that every Medicare provider be reimbursed on a pay-for-performance basis.
