Dr. Gerald Nora has been named Medical Director of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Kenosha. The medical rehabilitation hospital treats patients with disabling injuries or illnesses such as strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or other medically-complex conditions like COVID-19.

Dr. Nora is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with a subspecialty certification in brain injury medicine. He is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Previously, he served as medical director at a rehabilitation hospital in Milwaukee.

Dr. Nora will lead the hospital’s interdisciplinary healthcare team, which will provide patient services that include physical, occupational, and speech therapy; rehabilitative nursing; case management; respiratory therapy; dietary services; and other specialized care.

Dr. Nora graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in molecular biology/physics and philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He earned a doctorate in molecular biophysics, a medical degree, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Nora is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American College of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the International Brain Injury Association/North American Brain Injury Society.
