Bob Scanlon has been named Director of Marketing & Business Development for ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Rio Rancho.

In his role, Scanlon will be responsible for the planning and execution of the hospital’s marketing and sales efforts. Prior to joining the hospital, Scanlon spent several years as the Director of Admissions in an acute rehabilitation setting. He has also worked with a health insurance provider and held positions in finance, physician relations, hospice and business development in various healthcare institutions in New Mexico.

Scanlon earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. He is involved in numerous professional and community organizations, including serving on the board of directors for Special Olympics New Mexico.

The new, 25-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is expected to open at the end of November at 2401 Westside Boulevard SE in Rio Rancho. It will provide rehabilitative services to patients living with disabling injuries or illnesses such as strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other debilitating conditions.
