Sandberg Selected as Chief Executive Officer for New Medical Rehabilitation Hospital in Cleveland

Todd Sandberg recently was named Chief Executive Officer of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital Lakeshore. The new 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospital is scheduled to open this fall in Cleveland, Wisc., and will treat patients with disabling injuries or illnesses caused by strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or other medically complex conditions.

Sandberg brings extensive experience to his position, having spent the last 17 years in executive healthcare leadership roles. He recently served as CEO of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Elwood-St. Joseph, as well as at two acute care hospitals in Minnesota and a medical rehabilitation hospital in Wyoming. He also has led rehabilitation programs in Illinois, Arkansas, and Minnesota.

“Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with adult populations that benefited from specialized rehabilitative care, so I’m excited to lead efforts to open ClearSky Lakeshore,” Sandberg says. “ClearSky Lakeshore will bring unparalleled expertise and knowledge in the field of rehabilitation to Cleveland and surrounding areas. We’re committed to enhancing the lives of our residents by providing advanced rehabilitative care right here in our region, so individuals can receive the treatments they need without having to leave the area.”

Sandberg earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology with a cardiac rehabilitation emphasis from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn. He earned a master’s degree in cardiac rehabilitation and exercise science from East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pa., and a master’s of business administration in healthcare management from Regis University in Denver, Colo.
