Piche Named Citrus County Chronicle’s 2026 Healthcare Hero for Administrative Excellence

Glenn Piche, CEO of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Lecanto, has been named the Citrus County Chronicle’s 2026 Healthcare Hero for Administrative Excellence.

The award recognizes Piche for demonstrating exceptional performance, care, and leadership while making a meaningful difference in the well-being of the Citrus County community. His leadership, compassion, and commitment to those around him have been recognized as exemplary by patients and peers.

“This isn’t just my award. It’s everybody’s award. It’s ClearSky Lecanto’s award,” Piche says.

That perspective reflects the leadership philosophy Piche has embraced since becoming CEO of ClearSky Lecanto three years ago. He believes, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” For Piche, this means creating an environment where employees feel trusted, valued, and empowered. He also believes that some of the most important lessons in leadership come from challenges and mistakes.

“Glenn talks openly about learning more from failure than from success, which is a rare kind of courage in a CEO,” says Nate Miller, Senior VP of Operations for ClearSky Health. “In addition, when ClearSky Lecanto opened, he didn’t recruit talent from somewhere else. He looked around Citrus County, found the people already there, and gave them something worth being part of.”

“Our workforce lives here, loves the county, and really appreciates everything that it affords,” Piche says. “As do the patients. When some of your worst life events happen, we’re there for them. There’s no other level of care like us. We’re different.”
