ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Rio Rancho Accredited by The Joint Commission

Signifies hospital’s dedication to safe, quality patient care

ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Rio Rancho has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects the hospital’s commitment to providing safe, quality patient care.

ClearSky Rehabilitation of Rio Rancho provides specialized rehabilitative care to individuals living with disabling injuries or illnesses such as strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or other debilitating conditions such as COVID-19.

To earn the voluntary accreditation, the 25-bed hospital underwent a rigorous, unannounced virtual-site review by The Joint Commission, in addition to virtual-site observations and interviews. During the visit, a team of reviewers evaluated compliance with hospital standards spanning several areas, including Environmental Care, Nursing Documentation, and Dietary Processes.

“I’m so excited to provide exceptional care and amazing outcomes to patients from the community who need our help to get back their independence,” says Shawn Wilbur, CEO of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Rio Rancho. “It took an enormous amount of teamwork from our staff to achieve this recognition. Their care, compassion, and dedication to our patients is truly a benefit to the community.”

The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help healthcare organizations measure, assess, and improve performance.
