Crystal Brandfass recently was named the new Director of Marketing and Business Development for ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Lancaster. The 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospital provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients with disabling injuries or illnesses caused by strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or other medically-complex conditions.
In her new role, Brandfass will lead ClearSky Lancaster’s admissions department and coordinate marketing efforts to educate patients, families, communities, and referral sources about the hospital’s services.
Brandfass has more than a decade of experience in the healthcare industry. Most recently, she was the regional director of business development for a healthcare company in Southern Ohio, which operates skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, and memory care communities across 13 locations. She has served as a regional senior hospice liaison for a home healthcare company that provides hospice services, and as a community relations manager for a network of assisted living communities.
“My experience with the senior population in the post-acute sector provides me with a strong understanding of their healthcare needs,” Brandfass says. “I plan to use this knowledge to help educate our referral sources, patients, and the community about the better outcomes provided by specialized, inpatient rehabilitative care. My goal is to ensure families are informed, empowered, and connected to the most effective recovery options available.”
Brandfass earned an associate’s degree in financial services management from Zane State College in Zanesville, Ohio; a bachelor’s degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in Cincinnati, Ohio; and a master’s degree in thanatology from Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wis.
