Stephen Sprockett recently was named Chief Executive Officer of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Lancaster. The new 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospital is scheduled to open in November 2024 in Lancaster, Ohio, and will treat patients with disabling injuries or illnesses caused by strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or other medically complex conditions.
Bringing 18 years of clinical and managerial expertise in hospital operations to his role, Sprockett offers a forward-thinking mindset and a demonstrated history of achievement. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Sprockett has held various direct patient care and leadership roles throughout his career, including a decade of inpatient rehabilitation management throughout central Ohio. He has served in leadership roles including as executive director, regional vice president, service line administrator, and as a CEO for one of the largest inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in Ohio.
“Rehabilitation has always been my passion, so I’m excited to lead efforts to open ClearSky Lancaster,” Sprockett says. “We will provide a specialized level of rehabilitative care to the community that is currently not available. Our hospital services will complement the acute services currently provided in the community and will allow patients with long-term medical needs to recover with the support of nearby family members and friends.”
Sprockett earned a bachelor’s degree in human performance and exercise science from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. He earned a doctorate in physical therapy and a master’s degree in business administration with a healthcare concentration from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He’s a member of numerous professional and civic organizations and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and coaching youth sports.
