ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Lecanto recently appointed Kim Rigalo as the new Director of Marketing and Business Development. ClearSky Lecanto is a 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospital that provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, or medically complex conditions. Rigalo will be responsible for the admissions department and will coordinate activities to educate patients, families, community, and referral sources about the hospital’s services.
Rigalo brings more than 30 years of healthcare expertise to her role, previously serving as a senior account executive at a home healthcare organization in Florida. As a senior account executive, she mentored and developed marketing strategies to drive business growth while fostering relationships with healthcare facilities, case managers, and discharge partners. In her previous role as the director of admissions & marketing at a skilled nursing facility, she supervised the admission coordinator and assessed patient eligibility for rehabilitation services.
“My experience with the senior population in the post-acute sector provides me with a strong understanding of their healthcare needs,” Rigalo says. “I can use this knowledge to help educate our referral sources, patients, and the community about the better outcomes provided by specialized, inpatient rehabilitative care. I think it’s important that patients and families understand the different levels of rehabilitative care available, and their right to choose where they receive it.”
Rigalo earned her licensed practical nursing degree from E.C. Goodwin Technical School in New Britain, Conn. An engaged community member, she has been serving on the Citrus County Continuity Care Board since 2015 and is currently the president. She serves on the Citrus County Chronicle’s Annual Nurse Appreciation Selection Committee and is a member of the Colorectal Cancer Foundation event planning committee.
