Debbie Hoffman recently was named Chief Executive Officer of ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Elwood-St. Joseph. The 30-bed medical rehabilitation hospital provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injuries, illnesses, or medically-complex conditions.
As a registered nurse, Hoffman brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience to her role, recently serving as Director of Nursing Operations for ClearSky Elwood-St. Joseph. She has held leadership positions throughout multiple acute care hospitals in Kansas and Missouri, with direct responsibility for operational, financial, and growth strategies to reach hospital goals and objectives. She has led multiple quality, safety, and operational improvement initiatives, resulting in excellent patient outcomes.
“Because I began my career in nursing, quality patient care and safety have always been my priorities,” Hoffman says. “I’m passionate about helping patients recover fully so they can regain independence and quality of life. I’m looking forward to leading the team at ClearSky Elwood-St. Joseph as we continue to advance patient care, foster innovation, and ensure the hospital’s long-term organizational success.”
Hoffman attended Northwest Technical School in Maryville, Mo., where she became a licensed practical nurse. She then earned an associate’s degree in nursing from Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa., and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Maryville University, St. Louis. She earned a master’s degree in management and leadership from Webster University in St. Louis. She is a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership and Missouri Organization of Nurse Leaders.
