Raymond Weiss has been named Director of Marketing and Business Development for ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital Lakeshore. The 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospital provides specialized rehabilitative care to individuals with disabling injuries or illnesses, including strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other medically-complex conditions.
In his role, Weiss will lead the hospital’s admissions department and coordinate marketing and community initiatives to educate patients, families, and referral sources about the hospital’s specialized rehabilitation services.
Weiss brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience to his role. He has long-standing ties to the Lakeshore community, where he previously served in a senior leadership role for a nonprofit senior living and healthcare organization in Manitowoc, Wis. Most recently, he was a healthcare consultant and interim CEO for post-acute care facilities in Northwest Wisconsin. He also has held executive leadership positions in healthcare strategy, post-acute care, skilled nursing, assisted living, operations, business development, and marketing. His broad experience spans health systems, senior care organizations, and national healthcare companies.
“My experience serving the senior population in post-acute care, combined with my years of leadership in the Lakeshore region, has given me a strong understanding of the healthcare needs of this community,” Weiss says. “I’m excited to return to the area and build relationships with referral partners, support business growth, and help patients and families understand the benefits of specialized rehabilitative care and their options for recovery.”
Weiss earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Ripon College in Ripon, Wis., and a master’s degree in theology and bioethics from Holy Apostles College & Seminary in Cromwell, Conn. He also completed a certificate in healthcare administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a licensed nursing home administrator in Wisconsin and has earned a patient advocacy/caregiver certificate.
