ClearSky Health recently broke ground on a 36-bed medical rehabilitation hospital in Beloit, Wisc., that will serve residents in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
The hospital will provide specialized rehabilitative care to about 650 patients annually, offering services to individuals recovering from disabling injuries or illnesses such as strokes, brain injuries, hip fractures, spinal injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other medically-complex conditions.
“This is an exciting day as we break ground on ClearSky Health’s 17th medical rehabilitation hospital and our fourth in Wisconsin,” says Michael Warrington, CEO of ClearSky Health. “I’d like to thank the Town of Beloit and the community for their support and collaboration throughout the planning of this project. When we consider a new hospital location, we look closely at the healthcare needs of the community and opportunities to address gaps in post-acute care. Our goal is to complement the services already available in the area and work alongside local healthcare providers to ensure patients have access to the specialized rehabilitative care they need. Our team will help patients maximize their recovery, regain independence and quality of life, and return home as quickly as possible to the people and activities they enjoy.”
Services offered at ClearSky Beloit will differ from other programs, providing a comprehensive level of care available only through medical rehabilitation hospitals. Patients will receive individualized treatment from a physician-led interdisciplinary healthcare team that includes physical, occupational, and speech therapists; rehabilitative nurses; case managers; respiratory therapists; dietitians; and other healthcare professionals.

The new 45,000-square-foot facility will feature all private rooms with ADA-compliant bathrooms, a rehabilitative gym with specialized equipment, an outside therapeutic courtyard, a dining room with a dedicated chef, and an activities of daily living space designed to emulate home environments.

Construction is currently underway, with ClearSky Beloit expected to open in late 2027.
